Wine Country Babymoon in Healdsburg

For many soon-to-be parents, a babymoon is their last chance to get away together before baby comes and Healdsburg is the perfect place to do exactly that.

Throughout our pregnancy, Ian and I brainstormed about where to venture for our babymoon, but we kept putting it off because we couldn't choose a place to go from the countless options in this area. Eventually, it was two weeks away from my due date and we didn't want to travel far, so we decided to plan a babymoon staycation right here in Healdsburg. We're so happy we did because we had a blast enjoying the town we live in!

Massage at Elements Day Spa

Our babymoon began at Healdsburg day spa, Elements on the Plaza, where Ian and I received the total five star treatment. Tucked away overlooking the Healdsburg Plaza, Elements is the ultimate destination to get pampered and recharge your batteries. We arrived early to our appointments and relaxed in the waiting area, while sipping jasmine green tea and snacking on chocolate. Ian and I received amazing massages - Mine was their one hour Great Expectations Massage, specifically designed for pregnant mamas. My massage therapist rubbed my feet and massaged my belly, which was incredible since I was so pregnant.

If you're in need of a spa day, check out Elements - Use the code GRAPEGIRL15 when booking for a discount on treatments and gift certificates.

Dinner at Valette

Valette is my husband's fave place to eat in Healdsburg, and we love to visit the restaurant for special occasions. One thing I appreciate about Valette is their attention to detail - Our server knew we were celebrating our babymoon and brought over a special mocktail for me. They always have one specifically vegetarian entree on the menu, so I ordered the Roasted Red Pepper “Falafel” with Valette Estate baby squash, Orange split pea hummus, Garlic emulsion, and Coconut Tzatziki. Hubs got the Charred Wagyu New York Steak with Mr. Duncan’s Mushroom Fondue. Plus, we shared the Spiced Carrot Cake with Cream cheese frosting and carrot and cardamom gastrique for dessert!

Stay at Hotel Trio

Hotel Trio is a new hotel in Healdsburg and it gets its name from the three winegrowing appellations in Healdsburg: Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley. The hotel is clean and modern, with a full kitchen in every room. Complimentary breakfast is included each morning and Rosé the Robot will even deliver late night snacks to your room when you have the wine tasting munchies! Huge bonus that the hotel has a shuttle that will transport guests to the Healdsburg Plaza or any other location within a three mile radius.
